Reported that last two scooters delivered to Northport VAMC in June 2008 (See report & pictures on

Reported that Project Undergarment account is more than $2,800--With good purchasing power at
WalMart, this could be doubled

Reported that September Daily Number fundraiser netted about $500

Authorized continued use of computerized membership process with no handwritten cards

Authorized Daily Number Lottery fundraiser for Feb and May/June

Requested development of Policy concerning officers use of Dept monies to be presented at Spring

Reported that we have over $3200 for Project Undergarment--VAMC's to be contacted for number of
residents at each facility

Reviewed proposed Standing Rules changes--All Standing Rules will be collated into one(1) document
for review / approval at June 2009 Convention

Reported over $98,000 worth of projects from 9 Squads during year

Reported addition of 2 new Squads during year and application for another

Adopted a set of comprehensive Standing Rules

Appointed Awards Committee to continue for fourth year

Authorized two money making projects:  3 digit lottery for Feb 2010
and Booze raffle at June Convention.  Proceeds from lottery to be used
for commander's project that will aid active veterans and/or their families.

will receive $3,000 for reimbursement for Project Undergarment

"Son of AMVETS of the Year" nomination form distributed, ANY Son of AMVETS is eligible
