MISSION:  MOTOR SCOOTER

The Sons of AMVETS Department of New York has set the goal of donating a
motorized scooter to every one of the thirteen VA Medical Centers in New York
State.  The funds to purchase these scooters, each costing almost $1000,  will be
raised by a New York State Daily Number raffle during two months of the year.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Eleven motor scooters have been donated to VA Medical Centers in New York State.  (Two VAMC's
declined our donations for liability reasons)  The project raised almost $12,000 during the 2 1/2 year
project.  Our finest example of
Sons Serving Veterans to date.  See our page about Project
Undergarment.  Thank you to all who worked tirelessly on this mission.
